I have tried to understand this dream many times over, and I always begin to question it again. It has been a nightmare I've had on and off for a few years.

It starts with me in a bedroom sitting on a small bed and there is a kiddie pool in front of it, when I look to my left there is a glass cabinet full of baby ducks all dead and covered in oil. I find one alive and put it in the kiddie pool by my feet, it then swims in a circle. My boyfriend then comes in, and sits next to me on the bed, we watch the duck swim for a while. Then when I look up at him his face is blurred, I don't know how to describe it other than that. Then I wake up. Can anyone give me an opinion on this dream? I have used multiple different dream dictionaries and they do help some what, but they pertain to the situation that was happening when the dream initially came up. It doesn't explain why it has happened multiple times. Not to mention, a lot of the dream interpretations I have come up with are very general, I want to understand the dream because it does make me extremely uncomfortable, I hate talking about it. The strange part about that is, I am completely calm and at ease in the dream. Another factor that I don't understand.

Based on my prior knowledge (lots of freaky dreams) I would say it means something like you care greatly for young animals or animals in general and subconsciously you're looking for someone who shares that feeling. Or you are not with the right person, hence the blurred face. That's just the thoughts of an insomniac at 4:30 though. Take it as you will.
