could anyone tell me what this dream is about?

I was walking with my friend in a not so good area, where i had to hide behind a car so I wouldn't get hurt. I was walking towards my friend's car because I had to get something. As I was walking to the car, I was hiding behind a parked car. I sat up quickly and someone shot me in the head. The bullet did not go into my head but it simply scraped the top of my scalp. I did not see who shot me but all I heard was the gun shot. I started to panic so i ran into a shop quickly, told my friend to come with me but she ran the other way. So when i went into the shop, I yelled "call 911!" The workers simply looked at me for a minute than started to panic. I touched the top of my head but there was no blood, but I kept saying, "I'm bleeding, I'm bleeding!" so my head was wrapped and I woke up..

    What does this mean?

In your dream, the area you are in represents a pattern of thought. Since this is a 'bad' area, this shows that you are in a nevative frame of mind (for the message of this dream). Your friend represents a part of how you think. Look at her personality. The way you would describe her is that part of you being addressed in the dream. (Is she uptight/relaxed?,honest/dishonest?, self centered/selfless?) Walking with her and then her running away shows indicates the kind of thinking you were using that may have brought your mind down with negativity. An example of this would be a 'woe is me' attitude. Death means change, so getting shot in the head shows a potential of being changed. All the panic involved shows a lack of preparedness...as if you were suddenly faced with the results of your negative thinking. Look over your life and see where you have recently found yourself surrounded by negative thinking. Nervous, sad, angry, jealous...these are some types of thinking that could bring you down to a point of changing who you are. Look for ways to find the positive. I hope this helps. God bless.

The definition of being shot in a dream may help you better understand your dream...

"Dreams of being shot with a gun reflect feelings of being attacked, emotionally, in waking experience. Can you identify the attacker in your waking life? Violence in dreams is a consistent metaphor for emotional injury and pain. Dreams of being shot or attacked with a gun should not be interpreted as precognitive."

Can you identify where in your life you feel is going one... where someone or more are taking shots at you?

"Dialing 911 in a dream is a "cry for help" and reflects feelings of concern about a period of emotional crisis. If you are dialing 911 in a dream, identify the emergency or urgent situation you want help with in your waking life."

Blood in dreams also a symbol for emotional pain... but the fact that there is no blood suggests that you know deep down that your attacker really hasn't inflicted any harm on you... not yet.... although others (like those in your dream) are aware that it's happening. Once you figure out the source of the attack, you can take steps in your waking life to avoid or stop it.

    Good luck!
