So last night I had a dream about a very brutal fight. I've had a few dreams about fighting before this, but this was the most violent. I was in a huge grass yard with big stone walls all around, and a building which was a school. All of my friends were there, but I wasn't sure what we were doing. All of a sudden some guy came out of nowhere. He was huge and totally ripped, and he reminded me a bit of the sandman from spiderman. (he had a blue t shirt and dress pants with a belt. Also very strangely, he had a small wooden board on his leg near his crotch almost acting like a cup, but i don't know for sure.) I don't know why but I started fighting him. Maybe he stole something, maybe he did something to threaten me and my friends, but I can't remember. I was punching him as hard as I could (which in a dream is pretty hard) and anywhere I could get at. As I was punching him I noticed I gave him big purple bruises on his arms and who knows elsewhere. The thing was though, he didn't even fight back. He only took one swing to my gut, (which felt like being hit by a truck). Before he hit me and after that he completely ignored me and just kind of backed up slowly and casually. Towards the end of the dream, I was still fighting, but I noticed my arms and my perspective suddenly changed to third person. I saw myself beating up the guy, but my physical appearance changed from me, to the bane in the new batman movie (tom hardy) I was still smaller than him, but I looked ripped as well, yet he didn't seem to care. But all of a sudden, I saw him trying to stop me, as if shaking me awake. He grasped my shoulders and yelled something but i couldnt hear. Thats when my dream ended. I'm not a violent person and I hate having to fight other people.
I'm not one of those superhero addicts who buys all the comic books, yet i did recently see the new batman movie a couple of weeks ago, and I watched the spiderman movie (3) again several weeks before i saw the batman movie. I'm really confused :S

Fighting in a dream is a symbol of anger and frustration. Hitting has a similar meaning of dreams, but how your hits land, indicate how powerful or weak you feel against your foe. Here are links to the full definitions of those symbols:

    hitting: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/hitting.html

The trick is to figure out who or what your opponent represents in your wakinge life. The fact that it takes place at a school is a strong indication that it's a school-related dream. Given his size (compared to you) and his power, he could represent a specific upperclassman that you know or, my guess is that, given the fact that you are about to enter high school, he represents that unknown older kid that you anticipate having to "go against" when you enter as a freshman. Anger is closely related to fear... so your battle against him in the dream may reflect your anger and frustration about being the young guy coming in and having to prove yourself... when you know, as is well-portrayed in your dream, that you are tough and can stand up to anyone. The context of the superhero types is definitely explained by the recent movies you've seen. This is an epic struggle... you are not going to be a push over... you are a force to be reckoned with. Superhuman powers is actually a common dream symbol. Here's a link to its definition: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definit...uperhuman-power.html

Good luck at school... you're gonna do great and your dream confirms your awareness of that... even though you may get "hit hard" from time to time.
