I have been having this dream repeatedly..please help me by telling me what it means..All that I see in this dream is that I am standing in front of a graveyard and there is a board on its side that says something like "This is you destiny..Your loved ones have sent you here..They wanted you to be here..and thats why you are standing here in front of this graveyard today"

What does this dream mean?? It's a recurring dream..please help !!

It didn't really me understand the meaning of my dream...no one close to me died recently or I don't see my own gravestone in my dream..sorry..but i still didn't understand what my dream means..

I honestly just discovered this website a few minutes ago, so I'm not sure exactly how helpful my advice is going to be, but since its a recurring dream, before you go to sleep tell yourself you want to find out more, and to take you back there so you can see more for yourself. When I say I want to dream about something before I go to sleep I usually do, even if I can't remember all of the events with 100% accuracy.

I have an actual dream dictionary, so I'll look up what it has about graveyard.

I actually couldn't find the word graveyard, but I did find cemetery. It says,

"The cemetery and its association with death can have a double meaning in dreams. It can represent the parts of ourselves that we have "killed off" or stopped using. IT can als depict our thoughts and feelings about death and the attitudes and tradtions surrounding it.

Dreams are expressions of your feelings about your waking life. Put another way, they are you talking to you about how you really feel about what's going on in your life. Because feelings IN dreams are never disguised, how you feel IN the dream is how you feel about its subject in your waking life.

Which of the possible definitions at the link I posted resonate most with you? Given the message written on the board in your dream, the graveyard would seem to be your own. It DOESN'T MEAN you are going to die. It's a symbol. Here's the part of the definition that would seem to apply... "Seeing one’s tombstone indicates change, separation from another, or passing of a phase in one’s life."

The fact that it's a recurring dream means that you haven't yet processed those feelings, so the dream reoccurs. As soon as you understand the dream's meaning, it is likely to go away.

Assuming that you are still in school (you posted in the teen dream area), it's possible that this dream is about your feelings about school ending for the summer. Or, it might have to do with your feelings about other changes that summer has brought that involves your family (such as going away to camp.)

You must die to your family in other words your family ( an issue for you that is associated with your family is holding you back to rebirth to your real self. Separation (emotional) is necessary so that you can grow into your individual self.
