help me find meaning. was created by foxkitten
so i had a dream just the other night, i dont remember most of it but theres this one part i remember clearly and it seems important. im hoping something can help me figure out its meaning.
anyways, in the dream i guess i had been traveling with a small group of people, camping out in the wilderness? we were packing up to continue hiking but they all left without me because i was slow in packing up. then suddenly its night and im all alone in this white tent with no floor. the entrance to the tent is open and im huddled in one corner just really scared. when suddenly a barn owl hops through the entrance and stares at me before hopping over and letting me pet it. the presence of the barn owl comforts me. then it disappears as if it were never there. almost immediately after it vanishes a golden eagle swoops in and stands beside me facing the entrance. it makes me feel safe and i curl up to sleep in dream.
i dont know why but i feel this dream means something important. especially the animals. just the fact i could tell what kind they were, and how they acted. the barn owl was very kind and comforted me, then the golden eagle was very fierce and protected me from the night.

Hi,
It is a wonderful learning dream! If this was my dream, here's my interpretation...
The people I was camping with. They are some of my other lives. We are out "in he wilderness", i.e. a symbol for my feminine.
My other lives "leave me". It's my dream, about myself and for me to learn.
It's night. In my dreams it's a way of showing myself I haven't yet acknowledged the inner beliefs the dream is a symbol of, i.e. I need to "en-lighten myself."
I'm in a tent, where each wall is a symbol of a masculine based beliefs. I note now there was no floor! It's a great sign! Why?
When I am in masculine based belief symbols like rooms, tents etc, I find, if I learn to listen to myself and pay attention to the lessons I'm learning from the dreams about the surface level effects my inner beliefs produce, then walls, ceiling and floors begin to disappear.
However, in this dream, I don't realize it. So, I'm literally interpreting the dream scene. That's why it's dark out.
Further, the entrance to the belief compartment is open. This too is a good sign. I can now see beyond the belief walls to my greater self, i.e. outside.
My feeling is fear. This is one of the surface level effects the inner beliefs produce. I am likely afraid of my feminine.
So, there I sit, huddled in one corner, afraid of myself. And then...a totem flies in to assist me.
I always love it in dreams of mine, and those of others I interpret, when a totem appears. Often, but not always, I or others might be afraid of it. It's what the beliefs are producing. So, what's a totem?
They are guides/teachers that take the shape of an entity, be it a fish, plant, tree, insect, bird or animal to assist us. All around us, each of us has literally hundreds to teachers. Sadly, because of our beliefs, we aren't listening to ourselves. The moment we open up the belief door, i.e. the tent door in this dream, they can assist us more consciously.
I encourage you to research owl totems.
I also advise you to learn lots about barn owl. Your teacher chose this with care. So, it's your choice to learn.
And then....Ta! DA! the golden eagle swoops to the entrance. It's waiting for you to open yourself up and also be willing to learn. Il'll let you learn about the eagle and golden eagle on your own.
Dreams are all about choices. We can forget them or, we can learn from them Thus, like each moment in life, we have choices.
Here's my message to you. You don't need protecting. The eagle can help en-lighten you and take you spiritually soaring. Both are most wonderful totems.
Way to go wonderful person! You are on the right spiritual path if you want to progress down the path.
I hope some of what I've said above deeply resonates within you. I feel you are a "healer." However, note, one can't heal others until one can heal oneself.
Here's another lesson. A person can't be healed unless they want to.
With kind regards,
Guy
PS I don't feel compelled to tell you to read any specific spiritual books. Simply learn to trust your intuition and let it take you where you need to go. Hugs!

the open doorway to the tent was frightening if anything. like the ominous dark was trying to seep in through it to get me. also what does the masculine walls even mean? and the feminine thing? honestly its more the exact opposite as im a struggling trans-male. and the other ppl were not that important. all that mattered there was that they left me. other than that i never even actually saw them. i just knew they were there at the beginning.
