  • I was with my step dad on the beach witch was crowded with people seemed like there was a party going on when we found a baby boy in a car seat with no parents around. The little baby boy needed medical help right away so my step father had someone poke a hole in its throat so he could get the boy to start breathing again and I was holding the babies hand the entire time. After a few minutes of the baby breathing again I asked my step dad to check and see how he was doing and he placed his head on the boys chest and looked at me and said that he isn't breathing anymore. I started to cry and touched the baby on the leg and my hands were freezing and when I touched him he started to breathe again. And once he was alive I looked around for his parents and he didn't have any so I got a big smile and said that he was going to be my child now. Then I woke up. - See more at: dreamdoctor.com/index.php?option=com_dre...sthash.LBiR9bR8.dpuf

  • The key symbol in your dream is the baby. Babies are common dream symbols. Here's a link to its meaning on this website:

    baby: dreamdoctor.com/index.php?option=com_dre...&task=details&id=121

As you will see from the definition, how the baby presents in the dream is also meaningful. In your dream, the baby is struggling to live. Not knowing the waking life background that generated your dream, it's hard to say what the baby specifically represents, assuming it does not represent a pregnancy or baby. If you are not "with child" in your waking life, your dream is not a sign that you are pregnant. Dreams are always about the present. They are symbolic reflections of your feelings about your waking life at the time you had.

Given the presence of your stepfather in the dream, the baby could represent a "newborn" family or relationship issue. The good news about the dream is reflects your feeling that your influence on "the baby" (whatever it represents symbolically to you in your waking life) will revive it.

The fact that "the baby" has no parents is another clue. Try to think of what new ideas, relationships, projects, or even aspects of your own personality are perhaps struggling to survive in waking life... ones that need "your parenting" (symbolically) in order for it to grow and thrive.

Dreams are always about what is most important to you at the time of the dream. If you are still confused as to what the baby represents in your waking life, please provide some background about what's going on, especially as it relates to your family or personal relationship life.

    Hope that helps!

  • Thank yo u so much. You actually helped explain a lot of that.
Could you maybe answer this question also.
My step-dad (pretty much my real; father) got remarried couple years ago and since then we have not talked as much but his new wife did find out that she is pregnant an she is having a baby boy. and I got invited to the baby shower yesterday. I don't know his new wife all that well cause when my mom and James split I took it hard and kept to myself but I chat with him on holidays.
Does this help add anymore insight.?

Thank you so so so so much.

  • Thanks for the additional information. It sheds light on a very sweet message. The baby in your dream is clearly rooted in reality, but there seems to be a symbolic component as well, since the baby is not at risk.

Ultimately, only you, the dreamer, can validate the true meaning of your dream, but based on the context of your dream, it appears to be telling you that you should be more connected and involved in that baby's life, and by association that of your dad-like ex-step-dad. You sort of lost him in waking life after he separated from your mom... thus metaphor in the dream about missing parents. You know what that's like and you wouldn't want it for any child. In the dream, you project those same feelings and concerns onto to the new baby. You know how important it is for a parent to be present in the life of a child... and how it impacts a child.

Dreams are always about you and your feelings about what is going on in your waking life. So, this dream is an expression of your feeling about a parent who disappears (your ex-step-dad and own father?) and the effect it has on the child. It seems to be a call from your subconscious for you to "reach out and touch" the life of this new baby (as you do in the dream), and the desire to find or reconnect more meaningfully with your ex-step-dad.

It's great that your ex-step-dad included you in the baby shower (a likely catalyst for the dream.) Your dreams paints a picture of your desire to be involved.

So, why not follow your dream? Be involved or at least stay closer. The parents will reemerge in your dreams.

    Good luck!
