Hello.... I need help with a dream that I keep having.... have had for years. Almost nightly I dream about two of my deceased grandmothers HOUSES. Not them, but the house. Every single dream is different, as I am always doing something different in the house. (eg. last night I was in my great grandmother's house. It was disgusting! It was at least calf high with this awful sludge.... everything in the house, furniture and lamps and stuff was old old old... and I was trying to get the house in order, and cleaned. By the end of the dream, I did). In every dream I am usually going through, or organizing, or just there sometimes... but it feels like EVERY SINGLE night, I am dreaming about one of those two houses.....??????? I would appreciate any help... thank you very very much!

Houses in dreams are symbols of the self. Here's a link to the definition of this website: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/house.html

When the house in the dream is not your house, but that of someone else, the house can represent that person in either a physical, mental and/or emotional sense, or it can reflect qualities of that person that you feel that you carry with you. The symbolism of your ancestors' homes would seem to suggest that the dram is about some old family baggage or "stuff" that you are having to sort through and/or clean up. The imagery is not pretty and evoke other common dream symbols which should help you identify what it is that the dreams are about and how you really feel about the situation. Here are links to those definitions:

    flood: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/flood.html
    toilet backing up: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/flood.html

Once you identify what the issue is in your waking life, it should make the process of cleaning it up easier... and make these dreams go away.

    Good luck!
