Good morning! I wanted to tell you about my recurring dreams. They are not exactly recurring, but I get very similar situations.

I often have flying dreams, which makes me wake up with unbelievably good and elevated mood. However, more often I get a lot of dreams like these:

Being publicly naked - most of the time I feel ashamed, however nobody else seems to notice or care. I'm just there trying to cover up and stressing out, when no one else is even paying attention. Mostly it happens like this - I'm doing something and then I suddenly realize that I am completely naked.

Driving a car - First of all, I don't own a car in real life. I'm not a good driver either, but I have had a passion for cars since I was about 5 years old, according to my dad. In the dreams, I'm always the driver, always alone in the car. Once I was driving over a flooded bridge, another time up the stairs, etc.

Being unable to walk - it feels as if I was completely drunk, but had a clear mind. My waist down wouldn't work in the dream and I wouldn't be able to run or walk away from the person catching me. Sometimes the guy catching me was my mom's ex-husband, who I disliked, but had little contact with. He would never catch me, but I would never be able to run away either. Sometimes I'm just by myself on the street unable to get up from the ground.

Being unable to speak or scream.

I'm 22, but it seems as if I have bad dreams too often. Lots of nightmares and negative feelings. Lately I've been getting worms or ants eating away the flesh under my skin or crabs laying eggs in my hair and then hatching.. Really horrifying and exhausting...

Is that normal? Or should I see someone about this?? Thanks for you advice in advance.

The dreams you list and the order that you list them, tell a good portion about who you are where you're at in life. Flying (the ability to fly) represents freedom. When things are falling into place, you're in control, etc., you get that feeling of freedom with no holding back. Cars represent the body. Your description indicates that you are expressive with your body and rely on the physical for buisness, pleasure, expression, distraction, etc. Legs signify purpose. Running away from someone or something shows a desire to avoid or get away from some part of yourself or your activity. Being unable to control the legs symbolizes an unclear and disabled sense of purpose. Nudity shows openness and honesty. When you have moments where you somehow 'reveal' aspects of the real you, you feel vulnerable...waiting for judgement. Unable to speak indicates that you really, really have something to say but feel like you can't say it or that nobody will listen. Perhaps you think it won't matter what you have to say(but it does). Finally, animals symbolize habits. Habits are those things that we say or do without thinking. You have some small habits that are at first, unoticed by you. The negative effects of these habits are beginning to show. If you can identify these habits and begin to make concious decisions for change, you will begin to see improvements in your life(working your way back up the list). Don't let these little negative habits 'get under your skin'. The cool thing is, withou realizing it, but you have just opened up communication to be heard about an honest and vulnerable aspect of your life! Let the Healing begin! God bless.

You will get another perspective on the meaning of your dreams when you the Dream Doctor's symbol definitions. Not knowing what was going on in your life at the time of each dream, you will know best how to interpret them.

    flying , naked in public , car , bridge , stairs , can't walk , chased , can't scream , and worm

From what I've read about dreams, yours are all pretty common. The good news about dreams is that they will always let you know how you are feeling about what is most important to you in your life. Nightmares are often "warning" dreams. They will alert you to emotional or physiological issues of concern... so you are right to pay attention to them.

If you are still unclear about any of your dreams after reading the symbol definitions or the other responses you get, please let us all know so we can help.

    Sweet dreams!
