Hi. Has anyone had similar doorways dreams?I looked it up and its supposed to be a situational-type dream. Any other ideas? So, I had this detailed dream (near nightmare) where I was constantly trying to escape a women's boarding mansion. Nobody made rental payments but I wanted to escape anyway. The reason I felt this way was, I either felt confined maybe by house rules or I wasn't as independent I wanted to be in my life. Also, former residents had left behind dark dust clusters in their left behind items in which I knew contained blocked-off energy of the things in their lives that needed repairing. I would go into rooms that needed chores done like the kitchen, laundry room, etc. and try to find a way out. Only to find the way out was blocked, or there was work needing to be done, or semi-menacing people were there that prevented escape. Women would entertain eachother in costumes in these rooms while chores and supplies were tended to. Then finally I found a doorway that let me out into freedom and escape (finally!!!). However, after a while, another doorway would appear, along with the trapped feeling, and finally I was opening one door after another in quick succession and, naturally, panicking. I hope this isn't too scary to post. Thank you for your help..

Doors in dreams are common symbols. Here's a link to its definition: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/door.html It should help explain why you had it.

To understand your other dream, here are links to the symbols:

    mansion (variation of castle): dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/door.html
    escape: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/door.html
jail (related to feelings of confinement): dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/jail.html
    can't get out: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/can-t-get-out.html
    lock: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/lock.html
    mask (related to costume): dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/mask.html

As you will see when you read the definitions, they paint the same picture of how you are feelings somewhere in your waking life. How you feel IN a dream is how you feel about its subject in your waking life. Try to identify where you are feeling "trapped" and panicky in your waking life... where people are preventing you from doing what you want or being who you want to be.

Once you identify that and find a way to accomplish your goals, the doors in future dreams will open or vanish.

    Good luck!
