Last night, I had one of the most disturbing nightmares of my life. My mom let my ex-boyfriend (who is also the non-involved biological father to my son who is 5) into her house, and when I looked away, he shot me in the back of the head. I saw the blood flowing and became semi-conscious. My mom ran my daughter (who is 2) out of the room, and then came to my aid once my ex left the house. I wanted to see my kids, but I couldn't speak.

I'm happily married, and haven't seen or heard from my ex in almost 6 years. Any ideas of what this means?
