  • Can you interpret my strange dream? was created by Birdiebees
In my dream, I bought a dog from a local adoption agency. It was medium-sized and had fluffy, white fur. It looked a lot like my grandma's long-dead westie, Polly. My dog was named Snoopy, which is the name the shelter had given it. Soon after getting Snoopy, I took him to a weird lake that was very deep with almost see-through, blue-tinted water. He started playing with another dog in the water, and in my dream I was swimming underneath them in the lake, somehow able to breathe and see perfectly. For some reason, Snoopy swam to the bottom of the lake. I swam down with him, and I saw a fluffy dog that looked a bit like a chihuahua, lying on the sandy lake floor. It wasn't moving, and I knew that it was dead. My dog gripped the dead dog gently with his teeth, and carried it to the surface of the lake. I swam up too, feeling slightly revolted and disturbed as to why there was a dead dog at the bottom of a tranquil lake. My dream ended there.

I sort of felt "chilled" when I woke up... I don't usually have dreams like this.

In your dream, the dog you got represents a habit that you are favorable too and have recently given it some added value. The color white indicates that it is spiritual in nature. The lake represents a set,or, condition of life experiences. Swimming in the lake with the dog shows your ability to 'navigate', or to get through these particular circumstances. The second dog is yet another habit that combines or is used with the first. Two symbolizes a duality or judgemental quality. This part of your dream suggests that you may have used a spiritual type habit, like reading the bible, and combined that with a habit of reflection. You can imagine how this could lead to uncovering another part of yourself (3rd dog/habit). This dog is dead and death means change. Look over your life and see where you have recently began to uncover things about yourself that, even though it isn't who you are now, you are unsettled that it once was. Hope this helps. God bless.
