I had a very strange dream last night. I very rarely dream or remember my dreams but this was an anomaly. Desperate to decipher what it could mean and struggling to move on from it.
Details:
Heavily pregnant and going into Labour - don’t recall much pain.
No one in hospital available or aware that I’m there/need help.
In a side room with my partner who is emotionally unavailable and not present mentally.
Very frustrated with this but ask partner to get someone/help, he agrees but walks off very slowly/no urgency.
Look down and see my baby’s head and hair through my skin in low abdomen area (Caesarean scar area)
Know baby needs to come out asap and tear skin to retrieve her.
Baby has eyes open but clearly not breathing/choking.
I tip baby onto front and start to do back blows.
A very thick light green substance (mashed potato consistency) starts coming out of her mouth, kind of like a sausage or mr whippy machine.
I feel a sense of relief that she is able to get this out, but still concerned.
Manage to find medical staff who rush the baby away, but tell me there is a very low chance of survival when “this happens”.
While waiting to hear about the baby, we are wondering the hospital corridor, trying to find medical staff to do to help me with my open wound. (Wound not very gory/no blood)
No one can help/has the expertise and am left. Sitting waiting for news of baby. Partner still emotionally unavailable, he finds a toy for sale on a stand and tries to show me. Anger ensues, I can’t believe how he can be so blasé.
Next, nurse wheels a baby out in a cot, this baby is alive and well, I have a brief moment of hope, only to be told this isn’t my baby.
Soon after, a team of nurses are wheeling a larger bed out of the same corridor, my baby is deceased under some bloody towels. I’m told this, with no emotion from the medical staff.
Next, I am still trying to find someone to help me with my open wound, no one will/can help.
End up in my hometown doctors surgery, old school mate and also ex work college was the receptionist. Middle aged lady standing next to reception with blond hair in ponytail and glasses says she has heard what happened and through her I receive my first glimpse of recognition/sympathy.
Can’t remember much after that/woke up.
If anyone could shed some light on this I would be so grateful!
