I dreamt I was in an alleyway with a steep incline. It was dark and buildings of different heights framed both sides of the alley. I first went down the slope of the alley, then back up, and entered a smaller alley with a steeper incline, where there were two whitish skulls on the ground. I walked a little before entering a building to my immediate right. Inside, it was pitch black and felt like a large empty warehouse. As I made my way up an incline I felt bones crunching under my feet. I soon entered a small waiting room of sorts without windows or doors. The walls were a muted mint green, inconspicuously lined with gold. I turned to my left and immediately entered another room, larger than the first, this time with ornate red and gold walls. I felt a couple other people there too. In the middle of the room was a large well-worn book lying open and I approached it. The book had a darker red exterior gilded with gold. The pages were either empty and filling itself with words as I watched or it already had text and I forgot what was on there. I woke.

When I was a preteen I would often dream of rooms such as these. What could any of this mean?

Skull: The represents oneself and spouse, denoting death. Or, this can means ones capital.

Bones: If a poor person sees bones in his dream, they denote his piety and fulfillment of his religious duties. Bones in a dream also represent one's helpers, family, wife, children, vehicles and properties. Seeing one's bones in a dream means exposing one's secrets.  Bones also could represent trees and their fruits, while their marrow represents one's good character or knowledge. Bones in a dream also denote one's fitness or sickness. 

Book: Ones deed and actions. Sinful works. Losing ones wealth.

The meaning of your dream is that you and your spouse one day will die. Specifically you will go to Hell. The book of your sinful actions. Or, the meaning is that you will lose your wealth because of unlawful earnings or dealings or greed. Or, it means exposing ones spouses secrets. Or, Losing ones friends and helpers. If in extreme poverty will become wealthy. 


Similarly, at Karl's university the psychologist Carl Jung had a dream similar to yours where he lived his provisional life and after would meet his fate. It included two skulls representing Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. There were broken bowls of food, which was his worldly provision. The last floor of the house being a burning furnace. He although interpreted the dream wrong and referred it to the repressed thoughts of the unconscious but rather the meaning was his memory's of his unconscious he was to have through life.
