I had this dream on January 6, 2020:
I'm walking around the basement of my church, which is a combination of the church basement, telegraph office, and train station from The Civil War.
I'm walking down train tracks, seeing trees and bushes lining them, then come to a wooden platform where people wait for trains. There's a water pump and a few benches. There's an office where train tickets are sold and a telegraph office right beside it.
I look in the window of the telegraph office and see a man who looks like magician Harry Blackstone Jr. , but it could be one of his ancestors, who served in The Civil War, but he's a telegraph operator. He's dressed in the blue Union cap, white union suit (but I can only see the "shirt" part of it), suspenders, blue pants with a yellow stripe runnning down each leg, small round eyeglasses, and boots. He's tapping out a message on the telegraph machine when he looks out the window and sees two other soldiers sneaking around outside next to the furnace and a round brown drain cover in the floor. (I'm seeing the church basement again). He goes out to see what's going on.
The two men are kneeling down by the drain, pouring some kind of liquid inside it, but I can't tell what it is. "Blackstone" and I look closer, but then jump away when the drain explodes and the men are thrown backwards; the sound is so loud, I can feel it in my chest. There is a fire and it comes toward me in two long trails (like from Back to the Future) and it starts burning my feet and I run away as fast as I can, forgetting that I'm not supposed to run when I'm on fire. I hear shouting and yelling behind me, but I can't understand any words.
As I'm running, it's not the church basement anymore, but a hotel hallway. I run out the front door and see that the hotel is situated on a beach. I see the ocean, and I don't even have to *think* about getting into the water, I just *do* it, knowing it will cool my burning feet. (sometimes in my dreams, I see water and don't get into it because I'm afraid of it) I feel the cold water and they feel better.
All of a sudden, I see a *huge* wave coming toward me, but I hear a voice? telling me not to be afraid of it, that it's only a *picture* of an ocean wave, and it can't hurt me. I never feel it as it washes over me. I step out of the water onto the beach and feel soft warm sand. I wake up, wondering why I had the dream.
