Dark Train Track
This is my account for a dream I’ve encountered 2 times now.
I was chasing these two unknown lights with a friend ( friend not known either/identified). Everything was pitch black and I remember seeing train tracks at my feet but everything else was black except these two lights. One was far and one was nearish. A example would be one was half a mile away and the other was 200 yards away, both were floating and swaying slightly. We were trying to catch these lights and running towards them.
As we got closer to one of them I kept describing it to my “friend” that was with me. I remember hearing 4 notes from a violin that kept playing a creepy sound as we got closer and closer. It also got louder and more prominent as I got closer to the light. This is where things got scary.
The light was now about 100 feet away from me on my right at a 45 degree angle. I turned back quickly to tell my friend it was close and then I turn back around and it’s a few feet from my face. I still can’t tell what the light is. At this point I remember being extremely scared but also very curious what the light is. My heart is racing in real life and I can actually feel it beating in my dream. At this point I know it’s a dream but I still want to know what the light is so I do not wake up on purpose.
My heart starts beating faster and at this point the violin is extremely loud and I can feel my heart racing and pumping blood faster and faster. I can even feel my heart beat in my eyelids. The light is right in my face but I cannot see who or what it is. Just the creepiness setting in of a higher power peering into my soul and the warmth of the light on my eye lids and the uncertainty if my heart should be beating this fast.
I try and try to slow my heart down. As the light is floating back and forth in my face slowly, I take deep breaths while remaining in the dream but I cannot make out who or what it is. So I finally let go and open my eyes and immediately feel my heart pounding in my chest feeling like it wants to escape. I put two fingers on my throat for my pulse and take exaggerated breaths to slow it down. With over a min of deep breathing my heart rate subsided. I’m left with a daunting feeling at 2 a.m. along with the memory of the scary violin and bright unforgettable light and warmth on my eyelids.
