Can anyone give us a clue to what my friends dream means.
She woke up this morning (her birthday) after having this strange dream. Her mother who's bedroom is the centre of her dream passed away last year. She has just seperated from her partner of many years after he cheated on her, he is still causing her problems but she is trying very hard to move on.

she was adjusting the curtains in her mums room, then was blinded by a huge wave if warm sunlight, looked down and the room has pulled out like a giant draw, straight outside , it was beautiful, wide open blue sky above and around

Thanks for any help figuring this out. seems a nice one to me and she could do with some happy thoughts :)

It is a good dream, based on the symbols and your description of it being warm and beautiful. The dream reflects her feelings that what is ahead for her will be bright, sunny, warm and beautiful. The metaphor of her "adjusting (opening) the curtains in her mums room", reflects her desire to look forward beyond the curtain of her loss. The sun is a positive symbol. The fact that she is blinded reflects her awareness that she can't really see what's ahead, but the fact that she described it to you as "bright" and "warm" and outside her mother's room is "beautiful, wide open blue sky above and around" is a metaphoric picture of optimism and hope. Given her recent sadness, hurt and grief, it's clear that she is ready to move on. What a great birthday present for herself.

Here are links to the definitions of the relevant dream symbols that support that interpretation:

    can't see: dreamdoctor.com/dream-dictionary/definitions/can-t-see.html

It's evident from her dream that her happy thoughts have begun and she's ready to take positive action, no doubt with the support and good wishes of friends like you.

Please extend my best wishes, as well.
