In real life I just got a new wonderful boyfriend thats almost too good to be true. I have't been this happy in years! Anyway lately I have been dreaming every night that I'm in serious relationships with former lovers/other boys in my dreams, almost asif I cannot even remember my current boyfriend (in my dreams he is non existence). However in my dreams when I'm with thesw other boys I'm extrememly disapointed with them, I look and keep thinking about their flaws and how unhappy I am to be with me but i feel obliged to be in a serious relationship with them. Even after I awaken from the dream I lay there in major disapointment and once I remember my current boyfriend I become EXTREMELY happy because I realise how important and perfect he is to me based on comparion with the relationship I just dreamt of. But why can't I dream about him?

Is it possible that you fear he will become like the others?

I am having the same exact dreams.I have maybe had one or two dreams where he is present but we have been together over a year and I've  had probably 20 where I can't seem to remember who he is. It is so frustrating

I have these exact same dreams too. It makes me sad when I wake up because it confuses me and I worry that maybe he’s not important enough to be in my dreams even though he is the most amazing person I’ve ever met. The dreams I have I’m always with my ex partners too and it’s more like a nightmare than anything. I feel a sense of emptiness or being incomplete in these dreams too. Sometimes I’m sleeping with other people and feeling a horrible sense of guilt and can’t work out why. I stay at my boyfriends house a lot and he usually wakes me up. It takes we a few seconds to realise who he is and that my dream was kinda deleting him from my memories. I’m glad I’m not the only person to experience these dreams, hopefully it means that he’s the one as I’ve never felt so in love in my whole life before.

  • Same here. I feel frustrated and disappointed and my dreams. Great husband and stupid dreams don't have a clear picture of him. I decided to start painting our faces so I can force my brain to have a clear picture of him. I do it from time to time in my iPad and that helps :) I've learned dreams are all about your fears, anxiety, and other negative feelings and emotions to protect you. I guess that's the explanation but I hope one day we evolve our dreams to be more in peace and align to reality .
