Looking for interpretations of a dream I had last night. I dreamt that I was in a dark room lit only by candlelight, and I was encircled by people. I couldn't see them but I knew they were there. It all felt very ritualistic. There was an enormous snake on the ground, it looked like a python, and I wrested with this snake, overpowering it and tying its body in a knot. Then I bound its mouth with twine, wrapping it around and around so it couldn't open its jaw. Then I took a pair of scissors and began cutting through the snakes body. When I felt its spine crush under the blades I shuddered and felt sick for killing an animal. But I remember feeling that it had to be done. 
I'm having issues in my waking life regarding being lied to, and having secrets kept from me. And I feel that there's a connection there. What do you make of this dream?
