This is my first dream topic I am posting. Thank you for this forum.

I had a dream couple of days ago about a big bird.

The place of dream was my childhood home, where I lived for a major part of life. I was on the terrace of our house. Apparently there was a bird's nest somewhere on the roof, but the bird was always elusive. This time when I went of the roof, the bird came and sat on my left shoulder as if we were close friends. The bird was very heavy and big, but not uncomfortable. But, this act of the bird made me very happy and a feeling of some kind of achievement that I was able to make the bird my friend. I am unable to recollect the colour of the bird in the dream though. It was apparently grey. 

I was walking with the bird on my shoulder and talking to the bird. Yes, the bird could talk But, while walking it was dropping poo, and it was landing on my hind legs while I was walking. I walked down the stairs with the bird on my shoulder. My family members were having toasted bread and something to drink (cannot recollect). The bird wanted to eat and drink too to which I happily obliged.

Please help me understand this dream. Thank you very much.
