Pet

Pets in dreams can be literal or symbolic. On a symbolic level, pets are often associated with children, because we care for them like children and they are like members of the family. If a pet is aggressive, scratching biting or jumping on you, it may indicate mixed feelings regarding your desire for children.

If you own a pet in real life, a pet in your dream may symbolize your responsibilities as a pet owner. If your pet is happy, it means you are a good owner. If your pet is in bad health or injured, you may be worried about your ability to care for it. Neglecting your pet in a dream reflects concerns that you are not paying enough attention to or spending enough time with your pet. If your pet goes missing or is taken from you in a dream, as with parental instinct dreams, it reflects your anxiety that it might happen and how that would feel, not that it will happen.
