Sun

Cosmic symbol, often holding supreme spiritual stature, as in God, the universe, or heaven. Sunlight is a metaphor for vision, for the ability to “see one’s direction” clearly. Sunrises are associated with new beginnings and with hopes for the future. Sunsets represent closure of a period or phase in one’s life (the end of a relationship, the end of our college years, etc.), and feelings of uncertainty about the future. Sunsets also can represent feelings of decay and declining strength. (The “sunset” of my life.) An eclipse in a dream commonly represents an obstruction or impediment in your life, one that is obscuring "the light" required to "find your way."
