Shoes
Because we put on shoes as we prepare to leave our homes, shoes in dreams are symbols of the "direction we are headed" in our lives. New shoes indicate a new status; we are headed in a new direction. Shoes that don't fit or match or are on the wrong foot reflect feelings of pursuing a course that "isn't a good fit." Shoes that are destroyed or ruined symbolize a goal or ambition that has been thwarted.
