Mask

Masks used for disguise in dreams are, not surprisingly, symbols of disguised identity.  A masked/disguised person or character with whom you are interacting in a dream (which may include yourself) is a representation of someone or something in your waking life.  Such masked people/characters commonly appear in dreams in which difficult feelings and emotions are involved. We are having trouble recognizing a person's true identity.

Masks that are used for medical reasons in dreams (or their notable absence) reflect feelings about personal/emotional health and safety.  Not wearing or forgetting to wear a medical mask when others are can reflect feelings ranging from unpreparedness to vulnerability to defiance.  If you are wearing a medical mask and others are not in the dream, it reflects concerns about an unsafe or unhealthy situation or relationship in your life.  How you feel IN the dream about the mask (or absence of one) reflects how you really feel about those involved, the situation and/or the interaction that caused the dream.
