Wound

Symbol of emotional injury. If the wound is fresh, consider what recent event caused hurt and is impeding your (or the victim's) emotional progress. A scab represents an emotional wound that is healing, but is still noticeable to you and possibly others, while a scar (one that is not present in waking life) symbolizes an emotional injury that has left a permanent mark on you (or the victim). Observing a wound on a person you know is recognition of emotional injury or weakness in that person. Wounds also can symbolize feelings of depression and draining emotional strength, especially if blood is present. Observing a wound on the genitals of a romantic partner may indicate feelings that your sexual relationship is unhealthy.
