Pregnant

There are 2 types of pregnancy dreams, one in which the dreamer feels happy and/or excited IN the dream and the other scared, anxious and/or frustrated IN the dream. Happy pregnancy dreams are often a literal dream reflecting successful attempts to conceive in waking life or the desire to be pregnant. Unsuccessful attempts to conceive among aspiring mothers result in feelings of fear, anxiety and/or frustration in the dream due to waking life circumstances ranging from biological ticking clock to social or familial pressures to begin their families.

When these concerns are not present in your life (such as, if you're male or you haven't been sexually active), dreams of your or another's conception or pregnancy suggest "impregnation" with something new, such as an idea or goal (personal or professional), self-understanding, or romantic relationship. Something inside of you (or the pregnant person in the dream) has started to grow!

Dreams of another's pregnancy can be literal or symbolic, the latter is described above. If literal (and later validated), it's a testament to your subconscious awareness and/or intuition.

To be pregnant with twins in a dream is a metaphor for two new or prospective career/business or personal projects, romantic relationships, and/or developing interests or aspects of the personality. To have an abortion in a dream reflects desires "to end" what you recently started. Pregnancy dreams are rare in males-despite their often symbolic meaning.
