If you read some of the other dreams included in this section I think you will find that many people have experiences similar to yours. Communications from the deceased often are specific and poignant, and relate to important events occurring at a particular moment in time.
It is interesting that you had the dream prior to learning of your mother’s worsening condition. Given the context, it would seem logical that your mother’s problems are the source of your father’s concerns. I wish you the best of luck in this period of transition.
