Background information: My brother committed suicide by drowning in October of 2000.
In my dream, I was in the water and successfully fought off a huge water snake. I returned to shore to tell people about it. Then I turned and looked out to sea and saw an enormous tidal wave bearing down on all of us. It came and enveloped me (and presumably all of us on shore) and tossed me about. I knew it was certain death.
I felt (but could not see, because of being inside the tidal wave) the crashing of my body against hard objects four or five times, sustaining intense injuries. I didn't know which way was up or down. I woke up.
