I want to respond to the person who wrote about their father who died - and who then made contact through an obe.
When I was 17 years old, I lost the love of my life in an accident. At the time, there was speculation as to whether or not alcohol was involved. About a week after his death, I had a sleep experience in which he came to me and physically pulled me up by the shoulders and told me that no one was drinking--alcohol was not allowed on the premises. A conversation with one of the parent chaperones at the event later confirmed this.
About two years later, I was still grieving for this boy very much. I dreamed of him often, but I always woke with a sense of hatred for the waking life. I wanted to stay asleep and dream so we could be together.
One night I dreamed he came and walked around my college campus with me - it was so REAL! He was saying that he was truly in a better place, but he would not answer any of my specific questions about where he was. He did tell me that he keeps an eye out for me.
A few years after that, I was in a relationship with a man who, if things had gone a little bit differently, could have been my husband. But I still held a candle for this dead fellow. I asked God to help me get over him, and soon after, I had another dream in which I went to the dead boy’s house and found him outside playing catch with some of his neighbors. He all but ignored me. And I noticed he had another girlfriend. I confronted him, and he told me that he has moved on, and advised me to do the same. This was the breakup experience we had never had. That dream changed my life, and now I am married and have a young son.
