This is not a dream. I am positive of that. This has happened to me 3 different times in my life: the first time in 1975, the second time in 1979, the third time in 1985. I lived in different houses each time.
I was in a sound sleep when I bolted up, wide awake, and felt an evil presence in my bedroom, I was alone, and I really felt someone evil there. My heart was pounding, I was cold and frightened, and I couldn't get back to sleep. As a matter of fact I had a hard time sleeping for the next few nights.
It's odd that it happened only when I was alone. My husband closed our restaurant every night, while I left earlier to get the children to bed and myself. The exact same experience happened all 3 times.
After all these years I still think about it, hoping it will never happen again, although I don't dwell on it. I am not a big dreamer; I don't dream very often. My husband tells me for the last 52 years that he dreams in technicolor and he dreams often. Can you shed some light on these terrible experiences of mine?
