Actually, this part of your dream is pretty easy to understand. I think the question you really were asking is WHY? As in, WHY would you suddenly be dreaming about this one guy—who you don’t even really know yet—like every night? What’s up with that?
If you think about it though, Dan actually is a pretty special person in your life right now. He’s the only person you know (besides your guidance counselor) at your new school! Do you think Dan represents all the people you’re going to meet at school next year?
If so, then I think we can understand your dream better. It’s natural to be curious... and nervous... and excited... about going to a new school. And to be thinking about it a lot. Especially since that’s where you normally would be right now—if you hadn’t just moved.
