When someone is handicapped or crippled in a dream, it reflects feelings that that person is handicapped in waking life, often emotionally or psychologically. Just as the handicapped are dependent in waking life, so are the handicapped in a dream dependent in waking life on “crutches” which can range from alcohol dependency to co-dependent relationships.
